Well, every forum needs one of these, aye! Checked and it seems I didn't find one, so here goes. :thumb:
I liked this desktop wallpaper a lot, so I stuck to it for a day or so. Hopefully a bit longer than the usual lifespan of most wallpapers on my laptop, haha.

When I clicked on this thread I had to minimize everything to actually remember what my desktop looked like. It's so goddamn boring I forgot about it.
And so uselessly cluttered.
But I've never bothered with it on this laptop.
When I had XP I downloaded those alienware skins, loved them.
But I've not taken to Vista.
So yeah, pebbles =).

So, how about them Sims games, eh Steph? :p
I'm a Warhammer 40k fanboy so this is mine [1650x1080]:

The way of the MG hmm? :p
MotherGraham~

The way of the MG is the elitist one. ;)
Also, as to recommend a browser: I'd go with either Google Chrome, or Opera. I used to have Mozilla Firefox, but after one of the recent exploits (which have been fixed by now) I changed to Chrome. Now that I tried Mozilla again, it just seemed sooo slow compared to Chrome. Opera is even faster though, especially with Turbo mode enabled. The only disadvantage of turbo mode, however, is that it won't load images properly.

Aw... it's OK. I used to play Sims and Sims 2 until, well, I realised that I had run out of interesting stuff to do in them. I've just... I mean, wow... so many shortcuts D:
Google Chrome, or Opera.
But... but my add-ons! D: Chrome is nice, but I couldn't stand the fact that there were ads everywhere... I missed my ABP. I've never bothered trying Opera though, mostly because FF isn't broken so my browser doesn't need fixing.

Chrome does have ABP MNDF - Go to Extensions and you'll be able to find it
I don't really use Chrome since I use iGoogle and they tend to screw up on Chrome but not Firefox (oh the irony)
MyNameDidntFit
04-21-2010, 07:22 AM
Ah. OK. I haven't used Chrome since it first came out, so I wasn't aware.
I'll give it another try -- maybe Opera too -- when I reformat sometime in the near future (to do with that little white writing in the corner of my desktop >.>).
I'm going to go ahead and totally destroy any chance of having credibility on this site by showing my work computer...

That looks like what our resident Australians see shortly before they pass out at 5am on a Sunday morning. :D
(We don't normally approve of racial stereotyping on these forums, but for Aussies I'm willing to make an exception. :p)

Heh, Viva Pinata. At my little brother's birthday, I had to watch it (TV series). Oh the horror. :(
Also, I see an Microsoft Internet Explorer right there. Get another browser (and no, I'm not saying this because of the typical reasons that are mentioned by most)! ;)

Oh don't... you'll start them off again. Between and him and MyNameDidntFit it's like listening to Men At Work in stereo all day...

Never seen the show, but the games... I can't stop. It is the worst of addictions, I am fully aware.
As for IE, that is sadly something I can't change either! It's my work computer, and if we intall any programs that aren't approved, it blocks our updates and things like that for our other programs. Or something. I can't even upgrade to the newest version of IE. It's so sad!
Sorry Jason! I'm a big fan of the Land of Oz. I can't help it! But if we're really going to argue about the best place to be from, I am rather partial to California. We do know how to party, after all.
Now that I've completely derailed this topic... Way to go Anne!

Yeah, good link. Added to my favourites, seeing as the wallpaper scrapping bot I'm using doesn't get images off that domain. Thanks. :)

Most unimpressive desktop on MG? Perhaps:

Lance, what is that a screen shot of? Is that from a game?
As for me, I have a minimalistic desktop. What I mean is that I hate desktop icons, and I keep any widgets off. I am using Windows Vista and WindowBlinds7. The skin is "Pandora," and the wallpaper is "Pepper Mono." My screen shot was taken over a year ago, but my desktop is pretty much the same. Also, the resolution is 1680x1050, though I'll be getting a new monitor with an even higher resolution soon.

Sorry Hyperion, I didn't see your question
I found it on DeviantArt (I'm trying to find the artist now, but it's missing for some reason). The guy did it with a 3D program for a contest but it's not for any specific game or anything

Not quite bad, Nonsequitur. Personally however, I find myself enjoying plans other than the Earth. The Earth is rather less intriguing to me than let's say, Neptune. But opinions differ. ;)

Boring huh? Many moons ago, having a background image used to slow your computer down somewhat. I've never broken the habit. I only started using desktop icons this year too, for the same reason. :p
