Hey, so after reformatting I figured I'd give Google Chrome a shot and, so far, I'm loving it. The only negative that I've managed to find so far is that, in text fields on vB, you can't hit ctrl+b for bold, or any other hotkey formatting.

It's not really that big a deal, but if anyone around here knows a way that I can make it do that it'd be awesomely appreciated.

Hmmm yeah ctrl+b seems to show/hide bookmarks. Maybe there's a way to stop that shortcut?

I don't think it's just because of the hide/show function because ctrl+i doesn't work either, and that doesn't have any other function. Ctrl+u opens the source code window.

Ah, well. I'll get used to it -- I did fine when I was on a bunch of phpBB forums :p

Seemingly, the developers didn't include that as they thought that it isn't a widely used key-bind for rich-text boxes/areas. Or so I have read.

Oh well, I just select the text area I want and then press the B icon in the editors. Not much time difference to me. ;)

Hmpf. I use it all the time. All the more reason to blindly advocate Firefox superiority.

Same. The difference in time is negligible and I'm plenty used to it from my days when I was on a godless number of phpBB forums :p

In every other way, though, I'm preferring Chromes way of doing things.

Chrome is great - runs faster, loads faster (the program obviously, not the 'net) but I've gone back to Firefox for a simple, but rather retarded reason - I can't use iGoogle.

That's right - iGoogle runs fine in Firefox, but as soon as I load up some of the apps in Chrome, the whole page busts, I can't view images and it ruins any images I go to after iGoogle.

Very odd

I went back to Firefox tbh. All Chrome is, is a stripped down version of Firefox without any add-ons :P. I had to use HTML5 with Chrome (frequent user of youtube myself) cause everytime I tried to download Flash Player I recieved the error this is not compatible with your browser, and even the first site to support it doesn't allow me to watch all the videos in HTML5.

gg google.

within 10 minutes of discovering this, chrome was instaremoved and firefox was installed.

This sounds more like user error to me. Especially since no attempt at fixing was made, blaming such a glaring omission on the browser is... easy.

Then again, apparently Chrome has trouble running iGoogle.
