Let's be honest, it's literally the best comic based game, ever. Most of them are cheap Treyarch games (yes spiderman, I'm looking at you) but this game is exceptionally good!
For those who have never heard of it/played it, Batman: Arkham Asylum takes the well known "Dark Knight" and lots of old and new enemies from the comics, movies etc such as Zzass, Bane, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, Croc, and of course, one of the most known enemies of all time, The Joker.
Even if your not a fan of the movies/comics, I really recommend having a shot at this game, it's absolutely fantastic.

Agreed. This was by far and away the nicest surprise of 2009, and I'm definitely going to be getting my hands on number 2 when it arrives. Rocksteady have pulled a blinder, particularly as they're a fairly inexperienced Studio.

Well excuse me mister, I thought those Spiderman games are superb.

A few were fun, but some of them were obviously just carbon copies for money.

Excluding the PSX originals I played Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Spider-Man 3. I skipped the non-movie inspired ones, so maybe this is where I'm coming from.

Non-movie ones were generally the cheap carbon copies :P

I tend not to touch directly movie-based games so I'm not sure on the 1,2,3 games.
Apart from some camera issues later on in the game, Spiderman: Web of Shadows was Really good - the first Spidey game I really loved just randomly web-slinging between buildings :)
Back to the topic though, AA is probably one of the better games of last year - and AA2 will be out soon apparently. And it's going to be darker (if that's possible) and have Two-Face, Penguin and Catwoman.
Not sure what to make of the Robin inclusion though. If it's Nightwing, yeah all good - but I don't see adding Robin as being "darker"

Gayer, though? For sure.

Might add the possibility of co-op though.
Yeah, Rocksteady released a trailer for Arkham 2 a month or two back, you can watch it here:

For those who have played it before, I can't actually wait to play the next one, and hope it remains as well as before, even if it's in Gotham ;P

I don't know about you, but I don't want to play as Robin. He sucks, that's going to be some shitty co-op.

Very much looking forward to it as I was way into the first one. Didn't have too much replay in it though, at least I didn't think so.

I honestly didn't expect it to be this good. I tried the demo, and I just had to get it. I never buy games when they are new. But I searched and searched and found this one rather cheap :D Was worth it!

I saw that they released a goty edition with 3d glasses... pretty lame, but I still kind of want it.
