I.....

I'm at a loss

As a company, is suing your customers and fans a smart move? Simply because they created a fan-site for your game - potentially bringing in MORE customers to your product and in a sense doing your advertising job for you by going on about how GOOD it is?

The Site in question (www.warhammeralliance.com)

The Suit filed against Warhammer Alliance (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/legal/Complaint.pdf)

Someone needs to shoot the people in charge of Games Workshop and hire someone that realizes that suing your customers for loving your game is a BAD thing.

Idiots.

Seems like a pretty silly move. I don't really get it. Whatever profit this website is stealing from them better be big.

Unbelievable. This isn't the first time Games Workshop have gone down this route either. I've heard about this kind of thing from them before. It makes me sick, and this (and their exorbitant prices) are part of why GW can go under for all I care.

This is bad, yes. And it gets worse if you read what's said in the thread on the actual site.

... but wanting to see GW go under? No damn way. The plot of the 40k universe has too many things coming up for them to go away :p

Don't get rid of GW no - just the idiots in charge that have these bright ideas of suing everyone for liking their game, and put people in charge that just want to screw us all for our money like any normal business does.

So... fuck off the lawyers? That stands for the majority of society ;)

'Complaint for trademark infringement; Cybersquatting ...'
Ah, you've got to forgive me but that made me laugh.
I've never heard this term before.

Just poked around their site and found the thread of them notifying the community of the lawsuit here.

Seems very unfair to me.
