So, being that a few of us are playing this, I figure we should at very least let each other know whose name is what in-game so we can friend each other and then kill the shit out of each other :)

Names:

MyNameDidntFit = MyNameDidntFit
Lance = Lance
Archangel = Archangelicus
Jason = TargetPractice

I'll be up for a game just as soon as Brett Lance swings the beta my way. :)

I'm in as 'Archangelicus', though, as discovered last night, my operational functionality is presently hindered by partially swollen face.

But I'm down for some games when my eye stops being black.

RACIST.

As for me... I'm currently trying to coerce my cousin into going halfsies with me on a game he'll never play, while trying to figure out why on earth my credit card has been blocked from Steam AND (fucking) iTunes.

But ill be something like Konrad, or Konnie, or Komladu, or Pingwin, or Pingu. So you know, beware.

Is it possible your credit card has been locked down by your bank, Special K? I know you're in a strange and foreign land, and if you've been ordering online from another country on a card that's mainly been used in the US, they might have locked it down.

Yeah... I did quite a bit of that. >_>

It's very possible they've locked it down then. Might be worth giving them a ring and checking they've not blocked it. It's a fairly common thing - it's happened to me a couple of times.

Ill do that than. I admit, when Steam told me the card was declined due to "lack of funds" (I wanted to buy the full package of Dragon Age on sale) I almost fainted, considering I had just sold my old laptop for 900$.

I checked it was not actually the case almost immediately, but damn that's a cruel joke to play.

Steam does that sometimes. I got it once.

It was like "Lack of funds". So I tried again and "Lack of funds". So I checked my bank website and then tried again and it worked and I was all 'lolwat?'.

Also; your card being locked because you bought online? And you guys say Australia is draconian (not that we aren't).

(Actually worked in a Credit Card department in a bank for a few years -.- Don't hold it against me)

Most banks Do have a either a team, or their system automatically, will put a hold on a card if the transaction is suspect. Usually it will be a specific list of either countries or businesses which will trigger it. Or a LOT of spending "oversees" or on the 'net in a short period of time. Its designed to stop fraud quickly so it doesn't punish the customer, with a minor inconvenience of not being able to pay for something temporarily.

The other explanation is your bank's system is down at the moment (happened to us quite a few times, god the trouble it caused)

Of course depending on how long ago you put the $900 in there (and how) - that money may not have cleared yet Konnie.

Or Steam is just being annoying
