Have you ever changed your name? It cost something like 800 or what?
Do you think it's smart or stupid to have it cost that much (that little)

I think it's ridiculous to pay to change your gamertag.

It's like over a fiver, or something, to change it.
But yeah, there must be a reason they charge to change it right?

To make money, I would assume.

Imagine the chaos and load on the service if you could change it at will. People would be able to change it to one name, then another name, and then a third name within an hour. And with the amount of people on Xbox LIVE, the load would be horrendous. Possibly even to the point of crashing the servers. It's not even a very useful service. I'm sure people think it's a nice feature and all, but it's still unnecesary and I can't see myself ever using it.

If that were the reason there's a very simple answer: copy Steam. That is to say have the unchangeable account name, but also have a modifiable nickname that serves virtually all purposes.

Ahh, it makes sense now.

And that Steam idea would be pretty good, although I'd probably get confused with who's who on my friends list =/

I understand why it costs. It wouldn't be smart to have it be free, and everyone would keep changing theirs all the time. But maybe they should offer a change it once for free and then it would cost if you want to change it for the 3rd time.

It works fine with Steam's millions of users so... *shrug*

That could work, but they would have to copy the "Alias" list too. Or maybe add a notification when logging in:
"You have: 0 new messages.
RandomName1 has changed his/her gamertag to RandomName2"

I'm sure the addition of a 'previous aliases' list wouldn't be too challenging.

No problem, ah yeah I feel dead awkward posing by myself aswell.

Your new pic is gorgeous too! I like your hair. I just got mine chopped short. (Well, sitting on my shoulders) But it used to be 3/4 down my back it's like a part of me is missing haha!
So I'm not taking another pic of me until it grows back.

Nice =)

I just can't wait till my hair grows back. I look young as it is and I feel like a little girl in this hair cut, not a woman =(

That sucks! I've had haircuts like that as well. And I look like a 16 year old. And I'm almost 23 grrr :D

Steph

Yeah at my work I've had a few people say 'Oh you look too young to be sitting behind that counter. You look about 12.' That exact age as well.

I was gutted.

I s'pose it's a good thing for us in a way. Maybe we'll look 20 when we're really 40.

Fingers crossed.

Lets hope so :D But I doubt it! I will probably look 50 when I'm 40. Tho the genes should play in my favor. My grandmom is 65 and doesn't look like she is more than 55. And my mom looks really young as well

Steph
