Are you a Forum Role-Player?
Play Pen and Paper Games?
Know people that do?
Well, for you I present, The Guide for Character Creation (http://www.warsportsnetwork.com/uploads/Guide_to_Character_Creation.pdf)
The Guide is a little PDF (1.8mb) I put together to assist people in creating better characters.
So if you like RPing, give it a shot - and if you know people that could use it, please spread the word.

I shall download it and have a look some time. I RP occasionally and also write, so it'll be good to catch someone else's perspective on character creation.

I haven't downloaded it myself yet, but am a very dedicated role-player (both forum- and in-game role-play). Never found myself to have problems creating the personality/character, nor have I found any issues in creating an entire biography of him, her or it. But as Archangel said; it's always nice to see the perspective of others upon matters such as these.
Nevertheless, good thing to share no doubt. :)

Aye, it's all about the sharing.
I've been RP'ing for 32 years, and have had the humble pleasure and good fortune of having played with the likes of Dave Arneson, Jonathan Tweet, Bruce Cordell, and others.
And the simple truth that emerges over time is: you never stop learning. Each session is an opportunity for discovery. Whether you play with a newbie or a master, there is always something to be gleaned about the process, or about those you play with, or most importantly-- about yourself.
Just like storytelling, RP is an art never fully mastered. It is an iterative process of revelation and refinement that never ends.. only endlessly begins.
.
Three cheers for Lance! I love this guide. :)

 Oh god, don't give him a bigger head than he already has. I may give him a section in the next guide for a couple of recipes
Thanks guys, I'm glad you enjoyed. And if you loved it, don't be afraid to spread it around to any friends you think may like it ;)
