For all the big announcements at E3, there were a couple of titles that were conspicuous by their absence. One of them was Team Ico's The Last Guardian.

The possible sequel to the critically acclaimed Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is keenly anticipated by many, who were a little disappointed by the no-show. However, in a recent interview with 1Up (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3179936), Sony hinted at the possibility of the game making a showing at another industry show this year, which many have speculated will be the Tokyo Game Show, as Sony chose to release a previous trailer at TGS '09.

Here's the E3 2009 trailer for you:

The graphics will likely improve between that trailer and the release, but this looks like a really intriguing game, and the previous two were such refreshing pieces of gaming that it looks like it'll be difficult to not create something genuinely entertaining out of it.

Rumours are circulating about a possible release of a 'Team Ico' pack on PS3, much in the manner of the God of War collection. The pack will feature a HD redux of both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, and preorders are already being taken on a couple of sites, listing the price as $40.

If this does turn out to be the case, I'll most definitely be picking this one up - I've wanted to play these two games for ages.

Also, the rumours regarding The Last Guardian making an appearance at TGS 2010 show no sign of dying down - there's going to be a lot of disappointed punters if this one no-shows again!

That this game is from the guys who did Shadow of the Colossus is enough for me to get it even before I see that trailer.

Well, it's confirmed. Ico and Shadow Of The Colossus are indeed going to see the light of day on PS3, and rumours are that the two-game bundle will be sold for less than full price, too.

Looks like I'll be needing to put some money to one side to pick this one up.

Kill, steal, or counterfeit money to get the Ico / Shadow of the Colossus combo pack. I was just about to post the details about that combo myself.

They're both utterly fantastic games that I have replayed numerous times. If you're inclined to become emotionally attached to characters or events in your games, then you be deeply moved by them both (for slightly different reasons).

Cannot recommend them highly enough.

And if you needed any more reasons to buy it... it's also been confirmed that both games will feature full 3D support.

Granted, not likely to really come into play until 3DTVs come down in price considerably, but it's nice to know that in the future, we'll have the option to play these games in full 3D.

Good news/Bad news on The Last Guardian at TGS 2010.

The good news is that it was there - and we have a shiny new trailer to show for it:

The bad news (as you'll know if you watched the trailer) is that we're going to have to wait until the end of 2011 to play it, which is quite a while, even by game developer standards, bearing in mind this game was first hinted at in 2005. Still, with the re-releases of ICO and SotC, fans will at least have something to play in the meantime.

Aye-- the bad news is it won't be ready until 2011.

The good news is that I have a rolling 1 year backlog at any given time!
