After the... large amount of B-Grade games I got on the cheap I decided I'll do a recurring post called The B-List. Basically I'll just give my impressions of the game from the start through to the end and whether it truely is a B-Grade game.

This episode is The Godfather II.

Having been impressed largely with The Godfather, despite a few small flaws, I have expectations of TGII.

So far I've played through the intro in Cuba and I have to say those expectations are being fairly stomped on.

Mainly because the story doesn't match the ending of the first Godfather and you're now playing a different character. Which in itself isn't a bad thing, but there's also a few other changes - the map is.... weird and there's now a permanent free-aim reticule which makes moving around sluggish and awkward.

So far I'm yet to find a positive, but again, I've only played the intro so far so we'll see as I get deeper in if I get used to the changes and it improves or just continues to bug me.

More to come as I play more :D

I reckon you will get used to them, I found it quite odd at first but as I carried on it got better. It's not an outstandingly great game...but it will keep you amused for a few hours a day at the least.

The Godfather 2 is a weird one. It's not breathtakingly brilliant, but it really had me addicted. I completed the game 100%, achievements and all. I only do that on games I really enjoy... still working on Alan Wake. ¬_¬

I... have to admit, after the intro in Cuba and the first bit of New York, I couldn't stop playing. I've pretty much hammered it all out now (just mopping up in Cuba now)

The aiming system leaves a lot to be desired, but apart from that it really is an addictive game.
