Here it is, my first post. Just saying hello to this relatively new community. I hope it grows into a large, mature group of a variety of gamers and it'll be fun to be a part of it. My profile pretty much sums me up without going into too much detail :)

Congratulations on the twins, I can imagine they're causing all kinds of havoc by now - they're approaching the age where everything in your house has to move upwards by a couple of inches... nothing is safe! :p

As you noticed, we're still in our infancy (we only officially opened last month!), but we're growing fast, and more importantly, all our members are awesome - if you have any questions or thoughts about the site, by all means let me know either in the questions/feedback forum or via PM. :)

Congrats on your twins! I'm about a month away from having a son so I know a lot about the excitement and stress that surrounds that time in life. Hopefully you can still find enough time to relax and get some gaming in. :) It's a good thing you have the DS. I use the PSPgo for my portable gaming sessions. Anyways welcome to the forums.

Not many pick up on that! Yes, I didn't like how the HL1 boss name sounded until I switched the H and L around coincidentally :) I've been using this alias ever since I played and beat HL1 and it has proven to be a wonderful name for registrations. No one ever has it and I don't have to have any numbers in it to keep it unique.

Marvellous :D There's not much related to Half-Life that will slip by me. I've been playing it since it came out (and I was six then!) and am an intense fanboy of the series -- the original especially.

Yes I saw a trailer for it. Looks to be totally awesome but I doubt I'll be able to play it since it's a mod for the PC version. It's okay though--I'll hang onto my original memories of one of the best FPS stories ever written and played.

Ah, so you don't have Half-Life 2 on PC? Shame that, as the BM team looks to have done an utterly astounding job. With any luck HL2 should be available on the cheap when Ep3 finally hits so you might be able to pick it up then if you wanted to.

No, I played and beat HL2 on the PC but my PC situation has since changed. I haven't played ep.1 or 2 yet either. Maybe one day I'll just play all the extra goodies including Black Mesa.
