Anyone bought/playing Minecraft?

It's still in beta but it's a pretty fun game all things considered! If you haven't heard of it basically it's a sandbox game where you spawn in a randomly generated world and you have to cut down trees/mine for stone/coal etc and then just build build build!

You can pretty much build whatever you want. Also there's online multiplayer so you can work with others. (Such as this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn2-d5a3r94

I just bought the game last night on recommendation of a friend so I'm still working it all out but you should definitely check it out if you're interested in this sort of thing! At the moment it's about £13 but when the full game is released it'll be about £20.

I have Minecraft, but the complete lack of any kind of tutorial or quick-start guide means that it lost me within the first hour. I'm sure there are plenty of fan-made ones out there, but you'd think it wouldn't hurt them to maybe link to one or something on the main site... I have too many games to get through as it is, so the last thing I want to be doing is wasting time trying to puzzle out the controls and what I'm supposed to do when it would take them no time at all to link to a 'newb's guide' and save me (and many others I guess) a lot of hassle.

I agree with you, but I've found it pretty easy to pick up how you do things...especially with help from the wiki.
