Yeah, so Konnie hasn't finished it yet, and has promised to do some tremendously violent and borderline kinky things to me if I spoil it for him, so to save my tenderest parts from unspeakable acts, the following is a 'spoiler line' - read beyond it at your own risk!

Right, done.

So I finished it about an hour ago. It's such an awesome game, but I felt so let down by the last chapter or so. It's like they just ran out of time and rushed the most important part - the build up to the ending - they did such a tremendous job of getting a genuinely interesting story going, and after the fight with the Oracle on the rooftop, I was enjoying the game as much as any game I've ever played - it was looking like the beginning of the final third of the game as Lucas hones his powers and has more run-ins with the Oracle and the Purple Clan, suffers a few setbacks as per the standard Hollywood narrative before the big climactic fight... but no, about twenty minutes after that rooftop battle I was watching the credits roll and softly weeping at being robbed of something that could have been far, far more.

Why, Quantic Dream, why?! I swear, if you do that to me with Heavy Rain, I'm going to march over to Paris and... well, I'm going to do to you what Konrad swore he'd do to me if I ruin the ending for him.

Well, the good news is that I can't possibly do it any worse than the developers did. :(

Still, all that aside, it's a bloody awesome game.

Yeah, I remember that ugly, bitter aftertaste feeling when I finished the game. Worst ending for a great game!

You'll probably won't be disappointed like that with Heavy Rain, I just read this interview http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventure/heavyrain/news.html?sid=6243567&mode=previews&tag=result;title;0 and it's said that there will be no supernatural elements at all. I always thought that the supernatural turn of events later in the game ruined its lasting appeal.

There are several endings (about 4, all similar), and they all suck.
It was a great game, regardless. I beat it about 6 times just to get to replay pretty much everything before the last chapter.

A masterpiece game, great story until the end, which if I recall correctly could be quite unspectacular. Why donīt they make a remake with a truly good last part?

It's not quite a remake, but Heavy Rain (http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Games/Heavy_Rain)is promising more of the same kind of gameplay, and is by the same studio.

Oh, and it looks freaking awesome, too.

Indeed, it does.
