Gamer Nights?

Was thinking about this the other day, would it be possible to arrange maybe a monthly games night with members on here.

Maybe have a poll on which game to play for that night, and the one with the most votes is the game we play. Might be a way to bring the community closer together and could encourage new members to sign up so they can take part

We did that over at l4d forums a long time ago, every week. It was great while it lasted, but eventually fell apart due to connectivity issues, time constraints and on account of those - lack of interest.

Perhaps once a month might be a more reasonable time frame so everybody can get steaming and excited.

Yeah, I can see no reason this wouldn't be a good idea. :)

Obviously with this being a multi-platform forum, we'll have to work a way around that for those who don't have all platforms otherwise it could be 2-3 months between games for some people, and I don't have the time to organise 3 games a month, that was why the games on the other forum fell through.

But all in all, I like the idea assuming we can work around the potential pitfalls.

BUT, how about making an arrange a game/challenge subforum or something?? or just casual play-(bored out of my mind, does anyone want to play now?) kinda thing.
