What's the first game you played in 2010?

The 1st day of 2010 has already passed where I live, for some MGs you probably still have sometime. So, what's the first game/s you played in 2010?

The first game I played was a browser-based zombie-themed MMO I play called Urban Dead. I run approximately three characters in it, all of whom lead very different lives.
One is a 'true' survivor who is currently struggling for survival with his small group in a suburb that has been completely wrecked over the past few months.
My second is a murderer (or 'PKer' - short for 'player killer') who wanders round with a small gang of like-minded loonies and generally acts in a very antisocial manner indeed.
My third character is a zombie who runs as part of one of the largest zombie groups in the game, and has been stomping his way across the city recently with his pack, eating until he gets very fat indeed. :p

As for 'proper' games, the first game I played was Ashes Cricket 2009 on the PS3 - I fancied a quick twenty20 game after work. Beat the filthy Aussies by eight runs. :p

I didn't have a lot of time for gaming today so I decided to go with something fun and light. I started the year with a 15 years old game, the 1995 16-bit Ristar. It's part of the Xbox 360 title Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection which has dozens of Sega titles in HD and wide screen. Ristar is very similar to Sonic titles (becasue of the same creator) but with different mechanics, most notably, no speeding. I ended up playing it for 2 hours!

Ah, I remember Ristar - quite a good little game, that. It's such a shame the 2D platformer has died so suddenly.

Since I just thought of "last thing you played in 2009" thing and added it to the thread as an edit I shall start by stating that it was Bayonetta demo for the 100,46th time. What a sexy, sexy game!

My last play of 2009 was Fifa 10 with my good lady.

Bless her, I love her to pieces, and it's great that she takes an interest in gaming and we spend time together playing it, but a co-op game with her can sometimes be the most frustrating experience on the planet - for some reason I play like complete rubbish when I play with her - I don't expect her to play especially well, as although she knows her football, she's not a gamer, but I get annoyed with myself... I'm not normally competitive or angry when it comes to gaming, but I make an exception for Fifa 10 against the computer. I hate losing at sports games!

I finally got to play GTA4 yesterday! What a game for my first in 2010 :D

Last game I played in 2009, though, was either Modern Warfare 2 alone or FIFA 10 with my brother. Unlike Jason, I love playing cop-op FIFA 10... my brother is insanely good, every time we play we end up going to penalty shootout after an amazingly tight match and extra time. Rather enjoyable. :)

Yeah, I'm the same against my brother - we've had some epic battles - my favourite was a 4-4 draw we had - he was 4-1 down with three minutes to go. :upset:

Mine would have been Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I suppose it was also my last play of 2009, as I took a break around 11:30 to enjoy the upcoming year with my parents, and broke off back into the world of overwhelming shadows an hour later.

Yeah i'm a party animal aren't I? That's what fools get for getting sick on new years eve. Got a bunch of drunken texts and calls though, so it was almost like being there.

Similarly, I returned to my house at around 12:05 and began playing SC:CT with a mate--whilst drinking Beam... which makes it a damned sight harder to play SC properly.

I woke up Jan 1st to play Socom Confrontation on PS3. The game seems like it could be a ton of fun with the right people.

MW2 last game of 2009 with family as we were all snowed in for the holidays. For 2010 Assassin's Creed II and Mass Effect

Assassin's Creed 2 and MW2 were the last games I played in 2009. Phantasy Star Zero was the first I played in '10.

I think Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising were the 2010 first ones for me.

The first game I've played in 2010 would be World of Warcraft. I decided to get back to it for some time to see what it is like now that Wrath of the Lich King patches are out. Fortunately it ain't as addictive anymore. Played Dragon Age: Origins a few days before 2010, but switched over to World of Warcraft.
