Section for old gaming?

How about a section dedicated to old gaming?
Could include topics such as old systems & games (Ps1/ps2, Sega, Super nintendo/n64, xbox, etc.)?

It's something that I've thought about, and will probably implement in the future should there be enough discussion on it. For the time being, General Gaming Discussion should cover the subject nicely. :)

Remember! Just because we don't have a section for it, doesn't mean we don't want you talking about it. The current forum layout is a basic starting point, as discussion shrinks or expands - the forums will too.

Yeah, I need to post some topics on old and middle school Nintendo. That is all I know.

Maybe instead of having simply PS3, 360, and Wii, just create forums for Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft? You don't end up with a bunch of empty forums and it seems more open for those types of discussions about PS2 (still being sold), the original xbox, etc.

Yeah, great idea. Every now and then I'd feel a weird strong craving for old games, especially 2d, and I'm not talking the usual nostalgic feelings, it's like a need or an urge.

I like the idea, but I feel that renaming the forums to 'Sony', 'Microsoft' 'Nintendo' is a little too generic, and as the site expands would likely lead to the forums becoming too crowded and cluttered, meaning I'd have to split those forums into two halves.

If the demand is there for a 'retro' section, I'm willing to create one, but I'm trying to hold out until there's enough content to put in there first. :)

I actually much prefer the Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo split more when it comes to practicality. Though doing that stinks of fanboyism so badly it almost hurts.

Right, bit of a necrobump, but what the hey - I'm admin, I'm allowed to. :)

Anyway, I've taken some opinions on the matter, and due to the comparatively low level of traffic the Wii section was getting, I've decided to extend that particular forum's focus to all other platforms that aren't the PS3, Xbox 360 or PC. It also covers retro gaming, so feel free to relive your memories of the Dreamcast (remember that?! :p) in there as well. :)
