So... anyone here "waving"?

I just made an account today, don't really have anyone to use it on though. I also have 8 invites waiting to be given out, so if you'd like to try it out - give me a holler.

If desire, my address is: kwalkuski@googlewave.com

I'll give it a crack. I have a gmail account I never use, so I might as well have one of these I never use too.

I got it. It needs a lot more bandwagon for people to jump on, but it is only just begun afterall. I'm hoping we'll sometime soon be able to get it on the desktop through something like thunderbird. I would use it a lot more in that case.

Just give me a valid email to send the invite to. Who knows, since it's google, maybe soon everyone and their grandmother will have one.

It sometimes takes a day or two. If you don't get it at all, I'll try sending you one. I have a few invites now too. :)

I added you... and I'm not sure what I did... but... I still don't see why someone would prefer this 'wave' over say... an IM...

:/

This was my initial reaction. I'm sure it can do all kinds of awesome stuff, but they don't show you how, which kind of reduces it to a flashy IM where you can watch the other person as they type. :-/

Im looking forward to using it with a group of people, for a purpose, rather than just sending one person a message.

Using this to actually collaborate on writing might be fantastic, or it could serve as a chatroom meeting.

One on one I agree, it's a jumbled mess.

I could have sworn that every decent IM does that... :/

As far as I know there are no chatroom clients that allow for editing or splitting up the other persons messages with "commentary".

Rob

Its all about the collaborative editing. I sent a wave out.
