Anybody going to be playing this game? I played the beta and I must say it makes me want to play MMO's again. so much that i pre-ordered it. The game starts tomorrow. I don't know how im going to be expected to go to class and then work tomorrow.....

Hey, and welcome to MG! :)
I've been keeping an eye on Rift. I'm not an MMO kind of person, but Rift looked quite interesting - sadly my laptop won't run it, so doesn't look like I'll even have the chance to be tempted into it. :p

haven't really heard of this one before. is it kinda like the typical click-and-watch ones?

the UI is just like WOW but it plays a little more like war hammer. Look into it. Its pretty sick. The graphics are insane.

I'm a proud owner of the Immunity to MMO's Perk. The MMO I have played the most would be Guild-Wars, but mostly because I got it to run through with a friend, and it had no monthly fees. It was good fun until he got all into it, and expected me to test builds with him for hours on end. I just gave him my account and told him to bugger off and run two instances of the game at once.
Later, during a particularly uneventful summer vacation I paid for a month's subscription to Star Wars Galaxies, and that was fun (in the "Fuck Yeah, Star Wars!" way) until I realized how long it would take until I could pretend to be Boba Fett so I didn't renew the subscription.
I also tried the WoW free trial, which was probably the least fun I've ever had.
Oh, and now that I think of it - I played Toon Town when I was younger. Probably the best MMO I've ever played. :p Shame I eventually forgot about it, and didn't bother telling my dad to stop paying... >_>

i pretty much play MMOs because it's fun playing with friends. i really don't follow specific builds with my characters, and i've never been much of a pvper. in fact, i tend to pick the least popular classes to main so i don't look like everyone else. then people are like "omg you should do this that and the other thing instead!" and i'm like "this is my toon. i can do what i want with it."
