On your computers, do you use Windows, Linux, Mac, custom designed OS, etc.? I use Windows XP Pro on my desktop and Windows 7 Pro on my laptop.
I run Win7 64bit on my desktop and my wifes laptop. My netbook is running XPpro 32bit. I never found linux or macOS to be that useful for me considering how much time I spend playing games. I know they are great operating systems but I need the compatibility that windows offers.
Is there any particular reason you have not put Win7 on your desktop?

I took the liberty of adding a poll to the thread, I hope you don't mind. I run copies of Windows 7 on both my desktop and laptop. I used to run Vista on one of my computers, but as soon as I got my hands on another copy of 7 I upgraded and haven't looked back. 64 bits all the way.

Windows XP x64 in my laptop, too. I still find Vista and 7 a bit confusing when I have to use them else where since I've been using only XP for the last bazilion years!
Windows 7 on both Laptop and Desktop. Networking has never been such fun (or quite as easy!).

Ubuntu all the way--that's Linux for you lesser beings :P
I do run a couple versions of Windows as well, but not on my main laptop that I used 99% of the time.
I tried Ubuntu before W7 and didn't like it. It's probably because I'm used to Wondows now. USe it at home and at work.

I've used several operating systems on my computer and notebook, such being 2000, XP Professional, Vista Business and Windows 7 Professional x64. Must say, I've never had such a good OS as Windows 7 Professional. It hasn't been bugging me ever since I installed it and I doubt I'll ever get tired of it. One of the best products Microsoft ever released, I say.
So yeah, vote goes to Windows 7 x64.
