Watership Down!
i remember seeing that when i was a kid. i watched it again like a year or so ago...and from what i saw, that film was slightly on the disturbing side for kids. >_> i mean what the heck, all that blood. and the rabbits dying in their burrows cause the humans were gassing them out and crap...that scene....goodness....

Haha it is quite harrowing 'Hazel, look... the field... it's covered with blood! '. The book is just as awesome too. If you think that was disturbing don't ever watch The Plague Dogs also by Richard Adams.jeeeeze, now that is sad.

I think I'd have to say Predator. Mostly because it's been a tradition for years among a handful of my mates and I that every damn time we get drunk we watch it. Consequently we know it so well could do an impromptu reenactment.
Shine (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117631/)
Awesome movie. Geoffrey rush does some of the best acting I've ever seen in it.
Serenity hands down!
Not for me. Firefly is utterly amazing and you'll never hear a bad word about it from me, but Serenity was never more than a good movie to me.

Great isn't he. The actor who played his dad, Peter (Armin Mueller-Stahl), possibly just steals the show for me. Also, Noah Taylors performance was great as adolescent David.

I agree with all of that whole-heartedly. Shine is actually the single movie that I watched as part of my schooling that I actually enjoyed--and I enjoyed it more than most movies I've seen outside of school too.
I may have to find it somewhere to watch again, I think.

Never really got the big deal with Shine, to me it was just another one of those generic inspirational movies played to Australian students in an attempt to make them give a shit about Australian film.

Amelie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0211915/) is a great film. Took me a while to remember the subtitles well enough to actually watch the film, but what a film. All my base are belong to Audrey Tautou.

Another movie I also enjoyed as Battle Royale, based upon the novel and manga of the same name. Damn that was fun!

Kill Bill is good. i kinda liked vol. 1 better than vol. 2. i think 2 was lacking a little in action scenes. plus the final fight against Bill kinda let me down.

You'd wanna hope so with three attempts at it. I nearly cried when I heard that the male lead was being scouted for the American Deathnote movie :(

I also though that the live action Death Note movie was pretty awesome. The first part was a bit of a throwaway for anyone who's seen the anime or read the manga, but the second part was pretty enjoyable to watch.
