The EA Montreal studio responsible for Army of Two: The 40th Day have been talking about the method of quality assurance they've used to ensure that the sequel manages to fill the pitfalls that the first one fell into.
According to general manager Alain Tascan, they used the following method to decide what made it into the game:
We did the Steven Seagal/Bruce Willis test - If Bruce Willis would say something's good, it’s in the game. If Steven Segal would say it’s good, it’s out of the game!
Steven, you just got served.
The game launches this week. Early reviews on Metacritic have it scoring a respectable 77 on Xbox (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/armyoftwothe40thday) and 78 on PS3 (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/armyoftwothe40thday).
