It's a great idea having the classic games available to buy on the Playstation Store, but at the moment the choice is a little limited - there are some forgotten gems on there (Who wants a new G-Police game?!), but there's also some dross (The Little Mermaid 2 - really?!)

What classic PSone or PS2 games would you like to see uploaded to the Playstation Store?

For me, it would have to be PoyPoy 2. I don't know if anyone remembers this, but it was kind of like bomberman, but at the same time completely different. It was amazingly good fun with 4 players, doubly so if you had loads of people round for a party or something. The air would very quickly fill with all kinds of threats, pleading, double-crossing and swearing, and most games would usually end with at least one friendship wrecked forever. It really was a great little game - very Japanese indeed, but a great game for it.

One of my wishes has been fulfilled! The original Metal Gear Solid is now available on the PSN, as is Final Fantasy VIII - although it's not as good as VII, it's still a damn good game, and that card game is addictive.

That's great! After I finish FFVII and Resident Evil 2 then I will pick both of those games up and go back through them. Wait... I don't think I ever finished FFVIII so I will tackle that before MGS.

............ I just checked the U.S. PSN store and MGS doesn't show up for me. FFVIII is available for $10.

That's interesting. I know I saw it the other day. Perhaps it's just not available in the US store yet.

In other news... You have Resident Evil 2?!?! :hmpf:

Being as that my first Playstation endeavor was with the PS3 I don't have many requests. Those that I would be interested in though...

Shadow of the Colossus
Okami
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - I know, already on the PSN.

That's about all I could think of.

It's standard gaming material and should be issued with every birth at a hospital. I'm writing my congressman/woman right now.

I would like to see Okami on the PSN as well. I never tried it before but I have heard so many good things about it and I am not sure why I passed on it.

Ah, I can't believe you guys have Resi 2 on the PSN! That's so unfair!

Although at least you don't have 3. If you guys had Resident Evil 3: Nemesis available for download, I might just emigrate right now.

I rarely go through a game more than once but RE 3 was so fun that I played more it than 7 or 8 times.. shame on them with RE 5:angry:

I didn't hate RE5 - although I do think they've taken the Resident Evil series as far as they can in the current format. They simply HAVE to change the control scheme if they want the franchise to survive, particularly if they're pushing the 'action horror' title now.

Hey you are welcome to stay in the corner of my garage. RE3 has been available on the PSN for awhile.

How big a corner are we talking? Not one of those geometrical intersections between two lines that don't actually exist in reality?

It's in the 4th dimension.

Indeed (on a related note, these two videos are much better at explaining dimensions: http://www.youtube.com/user/10thdim).

Nice one. I remember playing Tekken in the arcade and then later on my friend had it for playstation. He wiped the floor with me every time. I had to resort to button smashing before walking away from the game for good. :) It's an excellent game but like all fighting games it requires that you memorize moves and be able to guess/work your opponent. I'm not so good at that style of fighting games.

I wasn't very good either, but it was by far my favorite fighter game of that style.. Wang is the man!!!!

... most fighting games, I've found, will allow the person who constantly taps the standard, quick, low-damage attack button the fastest and most will win against all but the most insanely skilled Korean.

But, then, that kind of defeats the purpose >.>

I'd love to see The Bouncer and the first Fatal Frame, and I was always curious about State of Emergency.

Regards Tekken, I didn't really get into it until #3, at which point I became awesome with Hwoarrang and Jin, and would regularly beat my buddies' faces in with them. The number of times I got them with Hwoarrang's special move is beyond belief.

Ahh, I miss that game. I wonder if #6 is any good?

I got 6 for X-mas, but haven't really had a chance to play it. I really like the thought of the online fights though.
