It appears that BioWare are taking this new-fangled DLC malarkey seriously. Having already poured plenty of DLC into Dragon Age: Origins, they're planning on doing the same with Mass Effect 2.
However, there's a twist with this one. The majority of DLC will be free through something in-game called the 'Cerberus Network' - the first batch will be available on release day, and feature a new character to join your team. The twist is that the Cerberus Network will only be available for free to players who purchase the game NEW. I assume this is accessed by a code found inside the case.
For purchasers of used games, the Cerberus Network can be accessed by paying a set fee, although it hasn't been made clear exactly how much this will be yet.
What are your thoughts on this? I have to say, I think it's an interesting and novel idea, and as long as the DLC stays free through the Cerberus Network, it's a great idea. If they start charging for the DLC, it'll be unfair on those who purchase the game used, as they'll be paying twice.
