So I'm thinking about picking up the PC version of R6V2 this Wednesday and was wondering if anyone else wanted to play it sometime? Do a little terrorist hunting perhaps?

I'm always game for some R6V2. One of my favourite games, I'd say. The co-op element is just some gosh-darned fun... fething hard, but fun nonetheless. Arch and I have played the whole thing, terrorist hunt and all, a good couple of times.
... except for those gorram UMPs... oh how I hate UMPs...

Damn. I love that game, but only have it for 360. =/

damn, I had it for 360 then traded it in about a year ago. Its on steam for $10 US, about $9 AUS :) so I am going to pick it back up again. Also is Wartown on R6V2 or 1? I remember all our attempts to complete that on high density with realistic difficulty. The best we got was down to 14 out of 120 terrorists before biting it.

I believe it's R6V2, but I can't recall either. Never could beat it in high density realistic, either. Guess I never had the right company... I used to be rather good at that game.
I'd buy it on Steam, but I'm kinda broke right now, haven't gotten my new computer to work the way I want it, and especially, I don't have a credit card...

Well considering how it was 120 terrorists against 4 rainbow operatives where two bullets could spell doom, even with the right company it is still a bitch to complete. I found myself running out of ammo being the main concern, then being stuck with shitty terrorist weapons.

True, but don't underestimate your pistol. :D

Wartown? Doesn't sound familiar... but I may be forgetting the name.
As I said, Arch and I have beaten it all on high density realistic. It's a bitch. Especially the guys that one-shot you while sprinting through your hail of precisely aimed fire...
And, yeah, CG, I spend a good deal of time using just my pistol--it's accurate, silent and has a decent clip size. The USP is good bloody company to keep.
/Edit: maybe you're thinking "Murdertown"?
Kozahk
05-08-2011, 12:57 PM
Wait, Wartown was in Vegas 1. I remember now because we had to take out all 120 with no respawns on high density and realistic difficulty. And yes, I adore the USP possibly because it is one of the few weapons I have used in real life.

Aye. Mostly I think it was sheer bloody determination that got us through all the Terrorist Hunt missions on Realistic with High Enemy Density. Not so much skill.
Still, fantastic game (even though the game is remarkably bad--in the buggy sense). I'm always down to shoot some terrorists if I have the free time. Which is less and less, conceivably, but I have free time occasionally. Like now. 'Cos I'm going to shoot terrorists with MNDF.

haha, I found it to be one of those cases where the game is so enjoyable that you just forget all the bugs, bit like Saints Row 2 now that I think about it. I think the tricky map for us was Library, pure CQC, make one mistake BAM! your dead. But goddamn that was fun.

Well I convinced hs6 to get it as well so we at least have a full team. :)

Just bought it, gonna let it download overnight. Soon, the hunt will begin!

I loved the majority of this game - the main bugbear was the phenomenal AI reaction times, as in, you poke your head round the corn-BANG. You're dead already. Tough luck, start again.

Try them being able fire from the hip with precision accuracy while sprinting. Hell, they kill you dead in a second even if all you're doing is blind-firing; stick your arm out and you're dead. It makes for some intense gameplay at times; especially when you're the last man in your squad alive.
So, have a game this weekend? Or perhaps friday night? Everyone so far that wants to play it is in Aussieland, so it should be too difficult to schedule a game. And I can set out one sesh out of Friday evening-Sunday for some terrorist huntin'.

Yeah, sounds good now that my anthropology essays are done and my Asian studies one isn't due for another fortnight. Ps ump45/g36c/usp/flashbang/smokes FTW!!!

Yeah, so, I fell asleep last night. Roughly 5 minutes after I finished eating ma dinnar, I think.
Perhaps tonight or tomorrow night?

Or rather, try and knock off the majority of this Java assignment tonight and tomorrow morning.

I am going to try and finish this Japanese Foreign Relations assignment tonight, so I may have time later on perhaps. But most likely not.

OK, note to self: deciding to ditch armor and finding yourself in skintight pants and a singlet is not the best way to display your heterosexuality.

Goddamn, I took advantage of the Steam discounts on Tom Clancy games today, but I accidentally bought Vegas 1 instead, then figured it's only 3 bucks and therefore less than a coffee at Starbucks to fix my mistake, and then Steam has an error and won't let me give them my money. :p
Well, if you guys feel like playing the old Vegas one of these days, I'm installing as I type. :)

I believe you'll find that little problem has resolved itself.

Note to self: Remember to display heterosexuality with more flare!
I don't even know why I'm in this thread... >_>

Hooooooly shit!
You, sir, are a fuckin' prince. :D
I owe you. :p
Well, it's installed. If you guys are up for it maybe this weekend, I should be free anywhere from the early morning up to maybe 8 or 9PM, Sydney time.

Well, I'm out of hospital and the doctor told me I need two weeks off work so... yeah... any time anyone is wanting to play anything, I'll be here... chilling... or something...
Except this weekend. Which is oddly the time you just suggested. So, uh, yeah. Any other time >.>

Should be good for most evenings, save those when I make plans. But so far I don't have them, so most evenings should be good.
Shall have to look into MNDF's availability too. Get the old squad back together. Also he owes me an international business meeting, so we could totally do that some time, too. >.>

Drunken terrorist hunt? Oh golly. I'd be keen for that. Any time you see me online and I respond to a message... well, that's when I'm good to go. Other than that, set a time and I'll let you know.

I have an idea that should make planning this easier.
Oi, Corey. When you gonna be around?

I am guessing Corey isn't interested based off his continued silence.

Terribly sorry. I've been rather busy of late and all of my gaming time has sort of gone straight into Skyrim.
Any time during the day (prior to 3.30PM) over the next four days and I should be around in some capacity or another.

I'm gonna say about 6 hours past Gandalf Standard Time, then.
Which is to say, Thursday. Middayish, in the East.
