With the Wii's unique control system, it's absolutely begging to be used in all kinds of different and innovative ways - doubly so now the Balance Board has been thrown into the equation as well.

What games are absolutely begging to be made for the Wii, but for some reason haven't materialised yet?

For me, it's a decent cricket game. They tried with Ashes Cricket 2009, but to be honest, they failed miserably. It was either six or out most of the time, and cricket fans have been crying out for a decent representation of their game for years - with the Wiimote, the potential is there to make a brilliant game, but it needs to be done properly. Will it happen? I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath.

What about you guys - what games are you waiting to see announced?

Modern Warfare 2 on the Wii? I'm actually also looking for a more competitive version of Rock Band 2, they need their track packs to be exportable, and maybe RB2 DLC using the RB1 setlist. Their track packs should also be on the Rock Band 2 engine, looks so much nicer.

I would like to see pretty much all the good games for PS3 and 360 ported to the wii. Just as long as they put a lot of time into the motion controls.

More games that let you use the GCN controller, I'm not a big fan of the Wiimote and all the stuff Nintendo is putting out nowadays. :|

Whilst it is an interesting concept, for certain genres the wiimote is hideously limiting.
Nintendo have a massively loyal fanbase, but they won't just sit back and accept half-assed 'family' and 'party' games forever, with the occasional big license game like Mario or Zelda once a year - they deserve some proper games, and right now Nintendo aren't really delivering on that front.
