In Sandvine's recent Spring traffic report [.pdf (http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/epicenter/2011/05/SandvineGlobalInternetSpringReport2011.pdf)] (thanks, Wired (http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2011/05/netflix-traffic/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+wired%2Findex+%28Wired%3A+Ind ex+3+%28Top+Stories+2%29%29&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher)) they've revealed that Netflix is now the undisputed leader in bandwidth usage for the US--surpassing the previous leader, BitTorrent, but .6% to have a 22.2% share of all US broadband traffic. The figures also show Netflix holding a 29.7% share of peak downloads.
I have to say I find this rather interesting. A paid service taking the lead over all this nasty, rampant piracy that the gaming industry and media wont shut up about.
For a bunch of pretty graphs and information you likely don't care about, check out the PDF file I linked.
