Peter Molyneux is burning the midnight fires over at Lionhead Studies where they are working hard to get Fable III ready for the 2010 holiday season. That will be fairly impressive considering how Fable II was released in Oct 2008.
Fable III takes place in Albion much like the game before it but this time you will take control of the entire kingdom. You will then have the choice to rule with an iron fist or deliver on your promises to create peace and happiness in your realm. The game is going focus on a few different improvements over F2. Touch / Weapon Morphing / Ruling your kingdom
The heavy emphasis on touch is supposed to draw you closer into the actions that you perform. You can interact with the people around you in a positive or negative way by grabbing/holding etc.
In Fable II your character morphed as its decisions added up... in Fable III your weapon does the same.
Another cool twist on the games story is that you do not start out ruling the kingdom. You have to create a following and storm the castle and only then do you reach the second half of the game where you can then sit on the throne.
I really liked Fable II and Fable III looks like it is shaping up to be a very impressive game. Lionhead has a way of creating a very rich and interesting story compared to most other games. I like the connection they make you feel towards your hero and the humor always makes me laugh.
Are you guys/gals looking forward to this game or is it just another sequel?
