I'm not sure if anyone heard about Ubisoft their Silent Hunter (submarine simulator) games. There's a new one coming! I remember in Silent Hunter IV, that the maps were SO big that it could literally take up to 1000 real-life hours to cross the entire map (thank God there an option to forward the time).

I'm really recommending these.

I remember playing a demo to one of those YEARS ago. It was really awesome how you could "walk" around the sub and flip a bunch of switches and what not. Unfortunately, I had no idea what was going on so I never really "played" it.

Yeah, it takes some practice to understand how the submarine really works, but it's amazing when you do understand! The ability to actually WALK in the sub in first-person is available in Silent Hunter 5! I really can't wait. The graphics are amazing.

Looks nice but i can imagine it being very technical in regards of controls and such. Would be a def buy if i wasn't for the the fact that I'm not really into simulators.

I've never really been into the Silent Hunter games. I guess with my line of work I'd have a bit of a hard time suspending disbelief to really enjoy it. Maybe I'll have a look at one of the old ones some time.

You have difficulty suspending disbelief about WWII submarine games due to being in the modern coast guard? :/

Not that so much, but with anything nautical-based that's for entertainment purposes, I find myself going "fucking hell, that would never happen" etc.

And as other games have taught us, physics happened differently in WWII. HEY OH.

Anything can happen in WWII, I thought that was clear from the myriad of WWII games? :p
