If you were given the chance to call the shots for the next game in any franchise of your choosing, which would it be and why?

For me, it'd be the Resident Evil games. The control system has GOT to go. I know it's served them well for a long time, but it's the same damn scheme they've used since the PSONE, for crying out loud! I know they say 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it', but it IS broken - the only reason you couldn't move and fire in the original game was that they couldn't find a way of working it into the control scheme!

Also, I'd work on simplifying the storyline. It's been getting increasingly convoluted recently, and they need to go back to basics. It's a great series, and one I've loved for ages, but 5 was pretty disappointing.

Duke Nukem?

I would become a hero to the gaming community.

You'd become a hero to me.

Plus, you'd never have to do anything but release a CG screenshot once every couple of years and the fans would still worship you.

Half Life 3, if there will ever be one. Valve needs to start focusing on the next HL game, now that L4D2 has been released. If it was up to me, HL3 would already have been developed and released.

Well, for me it will be a new Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver game. I just loved it with it's deep philosophical story about destiny vs. free will. Also, the script and voice acting were the best a video game can be.. there were something about it so poetically "Shakespearian"

Also, another Tim Schafer's Grim Fandango or Psychonauts.. MASTER PIECES

... we've still got to wait on Episode 3 before we start waiting for Half-Life 3...

... and before that is waiting for Valve to give us anything at all HL2:Ep3 related...

... sigh.

Good old Valve. They're a lot of things, but fast and reliable isn't one of them. :D

Did they ever say it would be a 3rd episode? I got every single Valve released game, and they never disappoint.

Ain't that the truth :p

Yeah, it's three episodes to finish the current story arc. Its been hinted that there will be a Half-Life 3 after Episode 3... but that's one for the grandkids to play, I think :p

But, then, I've been playing Half-Life since I was six, so I plan to be playing until at least a hundred and six... which means I might just get to play Ep3...
