With the upcoming Video Game Awards on Spike TV, several big-name games will be looking to get their names noticed by the viewing public in order to kick-start the hype machine.
Amongst those will be the latest in Bungie's mega-series Halo. What makes this one interesting is that the footage they'll be showing off from Halo: Reach will NOT be CG movie, it's going to be actual in-game engine footage. Whether this indicates how far along Bungie are with the game or whether they just want to show off what the engine can do is unclear, but it makes a refreshing change, and will sure to be getting Xbox owners all hot under the collar again. :naughty:

So does that mean that there's a new engine finally? I haven't been following Halo lately.

I'd also like to remind everyone to who reads this to vote for their favorite titles here:

Interesting news this week - developers Bungie confirmed that Halo: Reach will definitely be the last Halo game to be released for the Xbox 360. At this time, nothing further has been revealed as to the reasoning behind this, but perhaps it indicates that maybe the end of life for the 360 is a little sooner than we had anticipated...

Or, possibly, they've realised they're bastardising what was once a good game?

... ha... ha... ha?
