Software update problems

I just got KOF XII, as usual there is an update available, but when trying to update it, it takes forever, then when it's at 99% I get an error. Now I'll have to wait till it fails again to say exactly what the error message says, but I do remember having this difficulty once a long time ago and read where I could disable the information bar and I did it and it worked, but I can't figure out how to do it again.

I already tried resetting my modem and I'm not running wireless

What was the problem in the end? Just in case someone else is having the same problem. :)

I'm sorry, should have posted that. I'm not 100% sure Jason, but the last thing I did was to disable the Media server. I did that before and it didn't help, but this time I disabled it, then restarted the console before trying to update again. I'm hoping that was the problem as apposed to some random glitch, I'm a fan of solutions :)
