Yes, that's right. It's the news that will have thousands of gamers worldwide simultaneously crossing out the entire months of September, October and November in their diaries. 2K's epic strategy series has a new incarnation coming this year, and it promises to be full of changes.
For starters, the old 'square grid' has gone, with Civ finally giving in and following other games in the genre and opting for the hexagonal grid, as well as fully animated world leaders who speak in their native language (with subtitles, I hope!), expanded diplomacy options and plenty of new combat options.
I for one, am really looking forward to this.
