So far just in the form of a twitter update, but we should soon be seeing a newest addition to the Worms franchise, on Steam AND in 2D. Can this get much better? Only if turns out to be more than just a remake of an old one in HD. Either way - Ill be throwing my money at Team 17 no matter what they do.

Seriously though, I'm with K-dawg here (hah, that made me giggle) - Team 17 will be getting my money pretty much regardless - it's been too long since a decent Worms game, and if there was ever a game that was a nailed on cert for a M-G gaming party, Worms is it.

It's arriving on the 26th August, and promises all the old favourite weapons (Holy Hand Grenade, Armageddon, Concrete Donkey, Super Sheep...) in addition to 14 new toys to play with, including Ferrets, Poison Strikes, Electromagnets and The amazingly-named Buffalo of Lies.

It's got a 60-mission single player mode, and currency earned from these missions can be used to purchase hats, landscapes and weapons for your Worms. There's also a level editor for you to make your own custom levels, should that be your thing. There's also the inevitable and much wished-for 4-player online multiplayer through Steam.

The price? A princely $19.99 USD. A steal, if it's as good as the previous 2D Worms games.

I jumped the gun and bought the thing for $20, but im willing to cancel my pre-order and get the four pack with you guys if you're one short or something.
