What's your favorite of the two, and why?

Always been using Nvidia, since i bought my first 'real' gaming pc back in 2001, which was a 4200 Ti 128mb ram. Since then I've had cards like the 6600GT, 7900GTX and now the dual 260GTX's. Never had any problem with Nvidia, though I've had friends who always had issues with Ati cards.

Nedless to say, I'm a Nvidia fan :p

Nvidia for sure. Although I used Ati for a while and haven't had problems with it. But Nvidia is superior in my opinion.

I've only ever really used Nvidia cards. I used an old ATI card in a machine I built once, and it died on me, but I suspect that was more due to it reaching the end of its life than it being crap. It was secondhand when I got it.

I'm going against the grain here but I prefer ATI. I honestly think they're doing better than NVidia recently and show no signs of stopping.

But I'm no hardware guru :/

I'd have to go with Nvidia purely because it's the only GFX card i've ever used due to just how popular they are.

In the early 2000's, I was playing a lot of Return To Castle Wolfenstein, and the ATI cards had an issue displaying the skyboxes, and you could see the seam of the skybox in a lot of maps.

I started using the nVidia cards at that point, and have never used ATI again.

Nvidia. As this thread may get really long, I suggest a poll.

Nvidia are evil..

Once I watched a documentary about the kind of monopoly and ill practices against competiters Nvidia do.. as i remember, ATI were manufacturing very cheap laptops for poor African countries to use in schools and apparently Nvidia got jealous and lobbied the government of some of those countries to sell there more expensive laptops. The end result was that the smaller schools in rural villages weren't able to afford them anymore. That's what I remember at least, it was more than 2 years ago.
