The Gruen Transfer is a popular show in Australia deconstructing various advertisements on television. It is set up as a panel, hosted by Will Anderson, managing to be both funny and informative. It is one of my favorite shows of all time and figured I might as well share it with all you non-Australians.

The shows are typically split into four parts. The first is the introduction featuring an ad setting the theme of the show. The second "How Do You Sell" takes the theme and discusses strategies for approaching that particular topic. Third is the "Ad Crunch" which deconstructs an ad completely. Finally, "The Pitch" in where two ad agencies are challenged to make an advertisement for a completely ridiculous concept such as "Involuntary Euthanasia for People Over 80", "Let's Invade New Zealand" or "The Bogan-proof Fence". The end of each episode also has a contender for "The Worst Ad of All Time", which was voted on to win the polished golden turd.
