This morning:
*turn on computer*
"Oh, what's Steam downloading? A DoWII update? Awesome. I wonder how b- HOLY SHIT 3,664MB?!!"
Really. This annoys me. The FULL GAME is 3,991MB. I don't want to be forced to download the equivalent of another game before I can play my game again :(
I agree that doubling the game files in size is a pretty bold move by THQ, but after the update you are only looking at < 8GB total file size. It's not all that scary if you size it up to most modern games. It also helps that the update gives you a ton of free content including new units, maps, and game modes. Hmm but if you connection is slow and you are against forced updates of awesomeness then ok... fair enough.
Now pause the update and lets play some BC2! :)

Oh my... That's one heck of an update. I might reinstall the game just to see what's fresh.

Units.
Maps.
Sounds.
Textures.
Engine Upgrade.
Ability to play MP with owners of Chaos Rising.
Full update news here (http://store.steampowered.com/news/?appids=15620).
Steam automatically downloaded the update overnight but I haven't played it yet. I have to many other games to play right now and I don't like using WindowsGamesLive. It logs my xbox off every time I play DowII online. Bah!
I wish they would have released some new coop content. I can't afford the new expansion right now. Has anyone got it yet and if so, is it any good?

I don't yet, but I plan to very shortly -- today, preferably -- and from what I hear from mates that have it, it's great.
The one thing that annoys me from what I've heard is that the Chaos 'super unit' is a bloody daemon of Nurgle... they just had to go with the Chaos god I like the least -_-

Khorne > everything else

Tzeentch > Khorne.
But Tzeentch will never feature in any front-row role in a game simply because to see the full scope of any scheme set out by him would require a span of at least a couple millennia :(

Eh, in that case he might find a way into the next Final Fantasy game.
Seriously... how long are those games getting? :-/
