I have an extra beta key for Starcraft 2 so I'm giving it away. To get it all you have to do is post an anecdote or anything at all pertaining to Starcraft. After a few days i'll pick one post that is the most interesting or funny and that person gets the key. Remember, you can make a story up or talk about the series in general. Anything goes! For example...
My Starcraft love runs deep. When I was 17 SC:Brood War was released and I woke up at 8am and stormed towards town. I never made it because I was so excited and driving like a madman I ended up launching a beautiful 67' Ford Mustang off a hill and drilled a Pine tree about ten feet off the ground. That was all at about 50-60mph. No injuries (im superman) but the car obviously did not survive although during the complete flip the broken tree actually cushioned my fall.

Once this is over i'll PM the key and instructions on how to access the beta. It requires a free Battle.net account and a few GB of HDD space.

How Starcraft saved me:

I was sixteen and living in a small town. Now small towns are nice if you are looking to raise a child, but as a child and especially as a teenager small towns are hell. There are few people to do anything with and there is little to do. It was the summer of 1998 and I had been dating Laura for about half a year.

The relationship was doomed and I knew it, sadly Laura did not. Laura was a sweet church going girl who had visions of marring and settling down as soon as we graduated high school. I planned to leave the small town for college and never look back.

I broke up with Laura in early July as I saw no reason to lead the girl on, but she called me daily and begged and pleaded for me to take her back. After three weeks I almost gave in and took her back, not to make the calling stop and not because I had reconsidered our relationship, but instead out of boredom. I planned to start returning Laura’s calls on Saturday, but I never did call her back. I purchased Starcraft on a Friday and suddenly I wasn’t bored any more.

Six months later Laura was pregnant with her new boyfriend’s baby. She quickly ballooned to the size of a zerg hive and never got any smaller. Last I heard she was up to five little zerglings running around gnawing on people’s ankles. If it wasn’t for Starcraft I surely would have ended up with Laura, stuck in small town.

Wow that was incredible! Welcome to the forums Sciolist. The crazies around here don't get too excited over SC so you might have it in the bag with that response. I wouldn't expect the Aussies to show up here because they are into weird s*** and like living on an island that is mostly uninhabitable. Stick around awhile and you will see what I mean.

... and remember ...

Fat girls need love too. :)

I know what you mean about the Aussies, mad as cut snakes the whole lot of them! They are fun to go drinking with though.

You and MNDF would get along just fine.

Why yes, I think we would.

As the topic goes, however, my Starcraft anecdotes run down to "this one time, I laughed about how crazy Koreans are".

Well after a couple of days I had to stop the competition because there were simply too many responses and I can't possibly sort through them all. What a roller coaster of laughter and wisdom. Unfortunately I could only pick one post out all so many so after an imaginary drum roll..... . . . . . .. . . .... . ... .

Sciolist it looks like your wall of text won the coveted prize. Check your PM's. Time to kill zerglings/marines/zealots.
