Apple iPad

Love it or hate it, Apple has a pretty huge development community churning away at the iPad and it's nice 10" screen. I don't have the $$$ to drop on even the lowest model of the iPad right now. If I did have some cash lying around I think I would buy one. It's going to have some pretty fun games and its the largest touch screen tablet ever to have as much support as it does.

What do you think about its potential? With a large screen and no buttons will developers will come up with new and exciting games? Even if the price of the hardware is high right now do you think it will change gaming in the long run?

To me, it seems like a big iPod Touch. I already got an iPod Touch, so I'm not excited about it; but who knows what the future holds? Something interesting could come along...

Not a big fan of the whole cult of apple thing, it really seems quite useless. Chris Hardwick on G4 was getting all pissy about people complaining about it without trying it. I don't feel that I need to try it to know that it holds no value for my life. HOWEVER, it really is getting us just that one step closer to Star Trek that I have been waiting for!

What good is it? You are going to hold this thing all day long and stare at it? Try typing on one, it's certainly not more functional than your IPhone or computer.
