After playing for three days straight, John McAllistair beat the previous record of 41,336,440 points with his score of 41,338,740. The record had been standing for twenty-seven years.

Honestly, I have to say I find this ridiculous... Asteroids isn't even fun enough to play for that long :/

This is ridiculous. Whilst I have nothing against 'hardcore' gamers, and I'm aware that my girlfriend will find the thought of me saying to someone else "put down the controller and go outside" hilarious, this really is one of those times. If I managed something like that, I'd probably be asking myself "what have i DONE with my life?!"
