To something you don't really like?

Like if you are a hardcore Xbox 360 user, how much would it take for you to never touch Xbox again and start using Playstation 3. Or worse, WII

Maybe the Red Ring of Death.

I've really went off playing my xbox at the moment for some reason, I've just not been in the mood and whenever I start up a game I get unnecessarily angry at anything and everything about it. So I've generally been avoiding playing it.

Hmmm.

Maybe other factors I can't think of right now.

What about yourself?
If you are a hardcore xbox 360 user, what would make you shove it aside for a PS3 or PC based gaming etc?

To get me off my PC I'd have to be able to do all the non-gaming stuff I can do with my PC on a console.

Well if someone was to buy me a PS3 and all the games I have for my Xbox 360 for it, I might consider switching. But probably wouldn't :D

I have no tremendous brand loyalty - I'm a little wary of Microsoft after the reliability issues of their past two consoles, but not to the point where I definitely wouldn't buy something of theirs if I felt it represented best value for money.

To be honest - as much of a pro-360, anti-PS3 that I make out to be, I see MAJOR flaws in Microsoft and the 360 that the PS3 does so well. And there are PS3 exclusive titles that I'd love to play.

I don't think I'd ever give up on the 360 though (for Their exclusives are just as good as PS3's) - I'd say I'd have both consoles and wouldn't choose between them.

As for the PC - only game I touch on the PC is Medieval 2: Total War

Exclusives... urgh. As much as I love competition to keep prices down and companies on their toes, we really need to find a way past tying games to certain platforms -- who buys your platform should be defined by how good the platform is, not buy how much money is thrust into the pockets of game devs.

/dreaming.

Agreed 110%. The worst part is the fact that recently 'exclusives' have been changing hands (Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy XIII coming to Xbox, heavy rumours of Mass Effect making appearances on PS3), and there's a danger of fans who can only afford one console being forced to miss out on their favourite franchises.

It definitely sucks that some of the games you want to play, are only for PS3. Who has the money to buy both consoles? And it wouldn't even be fun to play a few games on PS3, when you try complete achievements on xbox 360 and get a higher score

Basically same for me. Buy me a PS3 and all the games I played on 360, but also buy me the top accessories for PS3 :P. I'm a tough sell.

PC rulez. :p but dunno, I look at games, just like... games. I was never a hardcore PC user, just hardcore gamer.

Switch from a PC to Mac?
I dunno... it would take a lot. Probably a free Mac that blows my PC out of the water so hard I can't take it. (Doesn't exist.)

From PC to console?
Not too much. I'm a PC gamer to the core, but certain lifestyles don't allow for it and I acknowledge that.

PS3 has the best Blue ray for your money and better graphics at an affordable cost but is lousy if you want reliable gaming servers
I've never had an issue finding a server for anything other than an EA game, and we all know that's nothing to do with the PS3. :p Even older games like Killzone 2 still have multiple games running with decent players and good latency.
Of course, it's potentially a location/timezone thing, but I've never had a problem finding a game server that wasn't something to do with the game's online code rather than a lack of reliable servers to play on.

I used to own a PS3, as well as my Xbox 360. However, the exclusives I enjoyed were limited. When I was banned for having flashed firmware on my Xbox 360 I sold the PS3 to buy a new console, because I had gotten bored of the PS3 within 3-4 months.

However, getting a new PC has really turned me off playing the 360, even on Battlefield. I enjoy playing Call of Duty 4 a lot more now on the PC than any other game. And now that I've started using emulators for NES, N64, PS2 etc I don't think I'm ever going to go back lmao!

Also, Macs are terrible for gaming.
