It appears that despite the collapse of 3D Realms, Duke isn't quite dead yet.
A new Duke Nukem facebook page has been created that hints at a new Duke game on the way named 'D-Day'. Whether this is a hoax or not is tricky to prove at the moment, and if past form is anything to go by, fans could be forgiven for being more than a little skeptical.
However, a screenshot has also been put up - it's not especially revealing, and there's no way of proving anything, but whatever it is, it certainly looks nice.

Sure, just give em 12-15 years of development and I'm sure it will run on my Pentium Xillioncore. Even if it's true, why the hell would they start over again instead of finishing up with what they already used way to many years on developing, then re-developing and so on..

I guess it's possible this game is being developed from the ashes of Forever. It would certainly make sense.

Just take S.T.A.L.K.E.R for instance. Game was developed for like 7-8 years, and was meant to bring us the "top of the art" graphics and game play. At best the graphics where mediocre and gameplay was 'OK'.
It's been enough bs already, i just think they need to lay this one to rest, once and for all.

Further update: a new post has since appeared, perhaps hinting further at another Duke Game. The page was updated with the following status quote:
“Duke Nukem says it’s gonna happen, and when it does, shock and awesome.”
Duke's FB page. (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Duke-Nukem/186028571601?ref=nf#/pages/Duke-Nukem/186028571601?v=wall&ref=nf)

Further evidence that Duke isn't dead? No, but more intrigue...
At the Music and Games Festival (MAGFest) in Virginia earlier this week, one Jon St John was taking questions. For those of you who aren't Duke obsessives, Mr St John is the voice of Duke. When one fan piped up with a question regarding Duke Forever, Mr St John was initially very clear with his response:
"I'm not allowed to talk about Duke Nukem Forever"
And then added this:
"...no, no - don't be disappointed. Read between the lines - why am I not allowed to talk about it?"
It looks like the longest running saga in gaming hasn't given up the ghost just yet.

I haven't gotten excited about a new release in ages...
... and It's still not happening, but considering the new developers this game will probably happen. It's worth nothing that it's not "Duke Nukem" who is too incompetent to get released, it was 3D Realms. It is my understanding that they are no longer working on the game.
