Road Rash
...I miss this series.
It was (I think) primarily a Mega Drive/Genesis series, although I think it did briefly feature on N64 and Playstation as well.
It was such a simple game, but at the same time was so much fun - you raced your way along country roads at insane speeds against about 20 other bikers. Those you couldn't beat for speed you simply kicked into the path of oncoming traffic/wildlife/foliage and let gravity do the rest. The later games had some pretty awesome weapons as well, with the cattle prod being a particular favourite. Duelling with cattle prods at 200mph... is there any finer sport?

I often have to resist kicking a police bike down as I speed away. Always seem to end up in an epic duel with the guy in black, he just wouldn't die! I think it should be made available to download on the Wii site! This would please me I can't believe they havent made it available yet, unless someone knows something I dont?

Oh Yeah I really loved this game. Anyone remember Flashback for Genesis? I really loved that one too, the closest thing I've played lately has been shadow complex, but that's more like simplified metroid to me

I had the Playstation version 'cause my Dad kept talking about it constantly and then bought me it. Awwwh it was awesome, I loved getting the chain and slashing everyone.
Heh heh heh.
The more levels you went up the higher the speed got and it was sometimes ridiculous haha but oh so much fun.
You're making me want to pull my PS1 out for a smash at it again.

Ah, it was a great game indeed. Never got to play the N64 version, but it was one of those classics on Genesis before a great meal visiting my grandma's house. Good years, those.

Oh man I remember that game. I loved that. And the sequel, 'Fade to Black' as well. They were some seriously tough games in patches.

It seems a remake was being worked on by EA, although it appears that work has since been cancelled. That's a crying shame.
Here's a leaked early render of the game:

Ah, Road Rash on the Sega Megadrive. Fun times.
I did quite enjoy beating people with chains at high speeds.
