Spend $1000...
Simple enough, you hypothetically get your hands on $1000 (or your currency of choice) to spend on whatever you damn well please.
What do you buy with it?

An Asus P7, Intel i5 750 and an ATI 5870.
'Cause I'm a geek like that, and new hardware gets me off.

Or catch up on all the games I've been wanting to get - RDR, Heavy Rain etc

I take it that's $1,000 USD.
I'd buy a console, some stands, a couple cymbals and a bass amp for my home studio. That, or a new computer.

It's either USD or your local currency - whichever you'd rather it be.
I'd probably get myself a new desktop - preferably one capable of playing games that were made in the past year.

Since one US dollar is equivalent to about 12 Mexican pesos, I'll take dollars.

I'd take it in whatever currency was the highest at the time, change it do Australian dollars, ask Arch what my PC wants and then buy that. So basically, what Arch said, but with about $500 more AUD.

The fab pair of boots from Neiman Marcus that I was oggling last night. Or maybe a new bird cage for one of my birds. She needs some new digs. Or a pony! I'll bet I could get a pony and a bird cage if I was a good shopper!
Or use it as a downpayment on a car. I really want a new car. And you know, I could use a new computer too.
Oh, the options!

A new, faster computer; some referee equipment, and a new TV.

Yeah, definitely using it to help fund my much wanted vacation. I'm thinking Mongolia and China while riding the Trans-Mongolian.

And when my wife asks me why I bought another pair of headphones, I could tell her the nice man on the internet paid for it!

Personally I'd not bother with a (new) custom desktop, so instead, I'll go for a good (giant) set of X360 games, along with, perhaps, a PS3. And if not the PS3, then an X360 Elite version.
If there's spare money left (most likely), I'll give it to my mother. She could use it.
