As I said elsewhere, I would use it to buy all the books on my wish list. If I had the time, I would spend it on a trip to China and Mongolia, and use of the Trans-Mongolian.

Not offense, Hyperion, but I kinda think $1,000 might not be enough for a trip there.
My own trips to the USA lasting 5 days or less cost more than that!
Travelling is so expensive... and so worth it, as well.

I doubt it, too. Fortunately, that wouldn't be the only money I have. I should probably rephrase: I'd use it to help pay for the vacation.
